Diploma in Dialysis Technology Overview At present there is shortage of qualified dialysis technicians. This course is started to overcome the shortage of qualified excellent dialysis technicians in the government and private hospitals of the state of Kerala. The course was started in the year of 1996. 90 qualified technicians were passed out from our institution with high score. Name of the Course Diploma in Dialysis Technology (DDT) Objectives To train the students to carry out various techniques of Haemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis to perform techniques of dialysis independently.

Lisie School of Nursing, established in 1963, is one of the premier institutions in Kerala providing nursing education. The Lisie School of Nursing offers General Nursing and Midwifery programme of 3 years duration as specified by the Indian Nursing Council based on the selection criteria set by the Kerala Nurses’ Midwives Council. The Institution is recognized by the Kerala Nurses Midwives Council and Indian Nursing Council. |
The Lisie School of Nursing is an integral part of Lisie Medical and Educational Institution. The Philosophy of Lisie School of Nursing has evolved from five decade’s experience and tradition of excellence in nursing education and is based upon a set of beliefs shared by the total nursing faculty.
Following the footsteps of the Divine Healer, the Lisie School of Nursing embraces the mission of Lisie Hospital, and has pledged to give its students, the kind of quality training in the art and science of nursing which aims to inculcate in them love and respect for the suffering humanity under deep sense of commitment to their cause. The faculty of the School of Nursing has designed the philosophy around the nursing concepts of client, health, nursing and environment.
Patient
The client of nursing is the recipient of nursing care and may include the person across the lifespan, family, group and community.
The person has a set of needs, hierarchical in nature which develops through a series of recognizable stages from conception till death. The faculty believes in the integrity, dignity and worth of person as an open, goal directed, humanistic being.
Health
Health is defined as a state of well being resulting from harmonious interaction of body, mind, spirit and environment. The faculty believes that health must be considered in its broadest, holistic sense and it depends on a balance of physical, Psychological, sociological, cultural, developmental and spiritual factors.
Nursing
The faculty believes that the professional nurse should be equipped with the knowledge, skill and attitude to render comprehensive nursing care so as to promote the health of individual, family and community and to work autonomously and collaboratively with the other member of the health team. While ensuring the welfare of public, the nurse also has the added responsibility to enhance the welfare of nursing profession.
Environment
The environment is the context in which an individual fulfills his basic needs. It consists of physiological, Psychological, socio cultural, spiritual and biophysical elements.

College Of Pharmacy Lisie College of Pharmacy is part of Lisie Medical & Educational Institutions (A Registered Charitable Trust) - owned and managed by the Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamali. It was established in the year 1977, the first of its kind in Kerala State to render service in the field of pharmaceutical education without any profit motive. Our students have been achieving excellent results in annual examinations every year. The two-year D.Pharm course at our college is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and Govt .of Kerala.

The courses are conducted under the direction and supervision of CMAI, BSS, IGNOU and DME. These are the recognized agencies approved by the Ministry of Health and respective Government statutory bodies to promote Health Allied Services in the country. Hence these courses have certain standard, value and recognition all over India.
The School of Medical Laboratory Technology was started in 1972. The course is of two years duration. It is full time, residential course leading to the Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, recognized by the Christian Medical Association of India (CMAI).
Objectives
- Developing knowledge about the human anatomy
- Empowering the skills to interpret pathological changes in human body
- Integrated teaching which includes theoretical presentation and practical training.
Method of Teaching
- Theoretical lessons on the functions of the organs in the human body and practical lessons to interpret the pathological, bio-molecular and microbiological basis of diseases, applying advanced diagnostic technology.
Educational qualification: 10 +2 or equivalent with +2, passed securing 50% mark. The candidate should have good character, sound health and an aptitude for Medical service in the fields of Allied Health Sciences.
Duration: The course duration is 2 years + 6 months internship in various departments in the hospital.
Training Process: The students are given sufficient exposure in updating their knowledge. The annual leave is 20 + 10 sick leave in addition to the hospital (festival) holidays. The students maintain good standard and well disciplined. The students get ample chances to express and develop their artistic and cultural talents by way of celebrating common festivals like Onam and Christmas and Hospital Day. They grow up in continuous health awareness by participating and organizing special programs to commemorate World Health Days as prescribed by WHO. They also contribute literary articles to the hospital publication ECHOLIS.

Eligibility of Admission Minimum Educational Qualification The candidates should be Passed in the higher secondary examination of the board of higher secondary education of Kerala, or equivalent examinations conducted by any of universities in Kerala with physics, chemistry and biology as optional subjects and a minimum of 50% marks of these subjects put together. Age Limit The candidates should be in the age group of 17-25 yrs relaxation in the upper age limit for SC/ST candidates are allowable. Total No. Of Seats 10 Students per Batch . Duration of the course The duration of the course shall be Two year including One year Internship. Course Structure One year of classes and practical training following which the candidates have to appear theory and practical examination conducted by DME, Kerala. The successful candidates have to undergo one year of internship which the degree is awarded.
